Terms & Conditions

Strider Dog Walking & Training

By booking services with Strider Dog Walking & Training (“Strider”, “we”, “us”), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Services

Strider provides dog walking, training, and related pet care services as agreed at the time of booking. Services are delivered with reasonable care, skill, and professionalism, with the dog’s welfare as the top priority.

2. Initial Consultation

An initial consultation or assessment may be required before services begin. This allows Strider to assess your dog’s behaviour, needs, and suitability for services. Strider reserves the right to decline or discontinue services if a dog is deemed unsafe or unsuitable.

3. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information about their dog, including health, behaviour, training history, and any aggression or anxiety issues

  • Disclose any medical conditions, injuries, or medication requirements

  • Ensure dogs are properly vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and fit for exercise

  • Provide safe access to the dog at the scheduled time

Failure to disclose relevant information may result in immediate suspension of services without refund.

4. Dog Behaviour & Safety

  • Dogs must be suitably trained to walk on lead unless otherwise agreed.

  • Strider reserves the right to use training tools or walking equipment deemed appropriate for safety (e.g. harnesses, long lines).

  • If a dog displays aggressive, dangerous, or unmanageable behaviour, Strider may end the walk or session early or refuse future services.

No refunds will be issued for sessions ended due to unsafe behaviour.

5. Health & Emergencies

  • In the event of illness or injury, Strider will make reasonable efforts to contact the client or emergency contact.

  • If urgent veterinary care is required and the client cannot be reached, Strider is authorised to seek treatment at the client’s expense.

  • Clients are responsible for all veterinary costs incurred.

6. Weather & Environmental Conditions

  • Walks will proceed in normal weather conditions.

  • In extreme or unsafe conditions, Strider may modify or cancel services for safety reasons.

  • If Strider cancels due to safety concerns, clients will receive a refund or credit.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations and refunds are governed by Strider’s Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

8. Keys & Property Access

  • Any keys or access details provided will be kept securely and used solely for the purpose of delivering services.

  • Strider is not responsible for issues arising from faulty locks, alarms, or access systems.

9. Photos & Media

Strider may take photos or videos of dogs during services.

  • Media will only be used for marketing or social purposes with client consent.

  • Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

10. Liability

  • Strider will take all reasonable precautions to care for your dog.

  • Clients accept that dogs are animals and that incidents such as illness, injury, escape, or damage may occur despite reasonable care.

  • Strider is not liable for:

    • Injury or illness resulting from pre-existing conditions

    • Damage caused by the dog to property, people, or other animals

  • Clients agree to indemnify Strider against claims arising from their dog’s behaviour.

11. Insurance

Strider holds appropriate public liability insurance. Proof of insurance can be provided upon request.

12. Termination of Services

Strider reserves the right to terminate services at any time if:

  • These Terms & Conditions are breached

  • The dog poses a safety risk

  • Payment is not made as agreed

13. Changes to Terms

Strider may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
